Gateway Celebrates Ribbon Cutting of Expanded Service Spaces

November 8, 2021

Gateway Hudson Valley hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony on September 10th to celebrate the expansion and renovation of the Day Habilitation and Personalized Recovery Oriented Services program (PROS). This upgrade to the program center will help Gateway as they continue to strive to meet the needs of our community members with mental health, intellectual and developmental disabilities. The renovation and expansion now accommodate more individuals, and includes a new reception area, extended program and classroom spaces that are now brighter and more therapeutic.

President and CEO Stephanie Turco spoke to those in attendance about the program before touring attendees around the newly renovated facility. Turco said, “We are excited with the opportunity to serve more members of our community. These spaces allow us to do so safely and more effectively which is so needed during this time.”

The ribbon cutting ceremony took place at Gateway’s Joe Cornelske Center. Gateway Board Chairman, Christopher Smailer and Joe Hally, Manager of Regulatory Affairs, at Central Hudson also toured the newly expanded and renovated facility with guests, which was led by Jessica Fish, VP of Vocational & Therapeutic Services. In attendance were members from the Gateway Board of Directors, Gateway staff, Mayor Steve Noble, representatives from Senator Michelle Hinchey’s office, and neighbors in the community.
